Below you'll find an update from Pastor Nick Modrzejewski about what our new church rhythm will look like moving forward in light of COVID-19 and Illinois' stay at home order. Let's hear from Pastor Nick.
Hello Illini Life!
We hope you were able to find rest and be refreshed in the Lord this Spring Break despite the stress of the COVID-19 crisis. The wide reaching effects of this microscopic virus have been a constant reminder to me that we are not in control, yet God is. As Colossians 1:15-20 reminds us, all things were created through and by Christ and are held together by Him. Jesus is the one truly in control. I take comfort in knowing my King is the one in control, and trust in His goodness through this.
As we shared with you before break, Illini Life will be following the guidelines outlined by the CDC and implemented by Champaign-Urbana Public Health Department and the University of Illinois. That means we have canceled all in-person events until further notice, likely the end of the Spring Semester. We know many of you have returned home to continue your classes digitally as the University has moved classes online. We are also moving what we can of the church community online. While we can't be together in person we can still encourage one another through social media, video chat, and a live stream service.

Moving Forward
We're encouraging small group leaders to continue leading through a video chat small group at your regular meeting time.
Starting March 29th, we want to invite you to join us on Sunday Mornings at 10:30am for an online worship service.
More information and details will be coming as we all continue to adapt to these trying circumstances and times.
I leave you with the words of Paul that have been a comfort and encouragement to me for decades as I've walked with Jesus:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
